I studied Biomagnetic therapy using Dr Osamu Itoh's technique incorporating Acupuncture points along the eight extra meridians with the British Biomagnetic Association in 1994. Biomagnetic therapy has a profoundly relaxing effect upon the body, and is a safe, effective and painless treatment for all and an alternative for those with a fear of needles, and for the very young and elderly. The use of magnets for healing is not a new concept, having been around now from as far back as 200 BC. Magnetism governs the universe: all plants transmit magnetic emanations and the earth is surrounded by its own magnetic field. Which in turn projects magnetic energy to all living things. The human body itself is a magnet and is a receiver of incoming electromagnetic energies. We are all aware of the effect the sun and moon has on the tides of the earth. When the moon and sun energies align their combined pull upon the earth results in abnormally high tides. Man is also affected by these gravitational forces, which can cause changes in the physical, mental, and biochemical functions of the body. Blood plays an important part in the human body and the magnetic force affects the body throughout the circulatory system. A magnet applied to the body sends a weak current through the blood and the quantity of ions is increased thus increasing circulation by improvement of the oxygen supply (Ionization). From experimentation it has been ascertained that the South Pole of the magnet is deemed “positive” and the North Pole “negative” North Pole energy reduces and dissolves, the South Pole energy expands and increases. Ionization Scientists interested in genetic mechanics and chemistry discovered that every cell in the body had the potential to be either acid or alkaline. These two had the potential to neutralise each other, and in doing so released energy. All bacteria, viruses and organisms, which affect the human economy, are either acid or alkaline based. The scientists who discovered genetic ionisation realised that if a disease affecting a particular organ or set of cells was acid based the bacteria would die if the cells could be given an alkaline wash. This is not possible however using modern chemistry. However this effect can be achieved using Acupuncture and magnets. If you substitute Yang for acid and Yin for alkaline, you have the theory of ionisation, discovered by the Chinese some 5000 years ago. Magnetic therapy has increased in popularity over the last few decades. The most common usage is the placing of the magnet on the most painful areas. In cases where there is no pain, magnets are applied to the extremities. The principles of Biomagnetic Therapy Biomagnetic therapy incorporates the application of specially designed magnets placed on specific acupuncture points on the eight extra meridians. These meridians have a common meeting place in the Thalamus, which, controls the sympathetic, and parasympathetic nervous symptom - endocrine system - muscular system and skeletal and central nervous system. Like many other holistic treatments it is based on the principle that disease is a product of imbalance and that, physical, mineral and energy re-balancing restores health. |
